K-9 Response Inc. is a § 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation made up of dedicated volunteers. Our skilled canine search & rescue teams are trained to locate missing persons in urban, suburban, and wilderness environments. Some are also trained to locate human remains on both land and water.

K-9 Response tracking or trailing dogs are trained using a variety of techniques.  All are "scent discriminating". This training enables them to follow a specific individual's scent through a variety of terrains and conditions.

All of our organization's members believe strongly in the community service they provide. Each is a volunteer and therefore financially responsible for his/her own equipment, supplies, travel and training expenses, except as otherwise donated. They are not paid for their services nor do they expect to be. The satisfaction of rescuing an injured hiker, a disoriented patient, or a frightened young child is its own reward.

As well as being available for any emergency situation, K-9 Response hosts a variety of educational programs for public and private organizations. Each program provides quality education relating to the "SAR" (search and rescue) field.

Feel free to explore the rest of our site to learn more. We are always looking for quality volunteers to join our team, as well as sponsors who appreciate our service to the community.
